please pastebin the full output of the build attempt. I'll see if I can get an archlinux chroot to test things...

@falkTX mingw issues persist on Arch. We’ll have to stick with the binaries.

Great! mingw-liblo has started to have issues compiling, anyway. I’m on to it.

btw, mingw-liblo is no longer required. it can still be used to get osc-support for "carla-single" (as build-depend) but it's useless when using carla bridges.

package should be updated. the code has changed quite a bit, and now plugin bridges are more reliable (testing welcome). it's still a work-in-progress, but it's getting better :) let me know if there are any issues.

I have temporarily put this package on hold for several reasons. For the one thing, the changes in mingw made it impossible to build the package at the time. At the same time, the Carla git code has evolved since, and I’m waiting for a stable green light from falkTX to try and build it again. Meanwhile, one should make do with the alternate package ‘carla-bridges-win’ (as suggested in my previous post), which installs ready-made binaries. I’m extremely busy at work right now, but I’m getting back on track as soon as I find the time and – and as soon as the compile environment becomes friendly again. Judging by your error, the mingw issues might have been solved. It remains to be seen when the bridges become usable again.

The way it dies for me is, format_types/juce_VSTPluginFormat.cpp:49:44: fatal error: pluginterfaces/vst2.x/aeffectx.h: No such file or directory Even though I've got the VST SDK downloaded.

Since I couldn’t get the bridges to build with either the current version of mingw or the one from svn, I have created the ‘carla-bridges-win’ PKGBUILD, which provides the binaries available on SourceForge. That should do for now.

Great, thanks. :)

As falkTX has confirmed, newest commits in carla-git break the win bridges. We should stick to tag 1.9.5 for now. I.e. replace line 13 in the PKGBUIILD with source=("$pkgname"::'git://github.com/falkTX/Carla.git#tag=1.9.5' HOWEVER, mingw packages in Arch have been updated to newer versions since I wrote the PKGBUILD, which results in failure to build at some other point (at least on my system). I am currently investigating workarounds.
