A 0.9.12 release already! I'll update this package tomorrow.

Sorry about the late replay - I've been busy. Yes I understand what you're talking about and I can reproduce the behaviour as well. It's present in compiz-bzr also. At this point in time I don't have a solution - sorry about that.

@Chazza Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well, I'm not native and I it was difficult to express that. I'll try again :) I meant that the animation, lets say starts with 100% opacity, and decreases to 0% (that 's the "appeared to dissappeared"), and suddenly just goes to 100% again. That's why I say it's "reversed", because in focus should be the other way (0% to 100%, which in fact it's the "final opacity state"). Because not, I'm referring about "focus animation", not minimizing or maximizing.

@frostering "appeared to dissappeared to just appear again (without fading)" With regards to the above, are you referring to minimising and unminimising?

frostering commented on 2014-10-22 16:30 (UTC)

Fade animation is "reversed" to me. I selected "fade" as effect for focus animations, and changing from one window to another the effect works fine, but it does from "appeared to dissappeared to just appear again (without fading)". Thank you @LeCrayonVert BTW.

Yes, dconf-editor even lists 'menu' one of the available options if you click on the button-layout option so I don't know why appmenu was suggested. Anyhow, I'm glad your issue is fixed. I've just updated my system and built this package and everything is working just fine for me. I don't anticipate any further issues with this package until at least the 0.9.12 release. (famous last words) :D

Solved by using : gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout "'menu:minimize,maximize,close'"

Ok, I've reset compiz settings and everything works fine now. Just one more thing thoug, the window does only contain the "close" button. I've tried using : gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout "'appmenu:minimize:maximize:close'" without any success.
