That's right, it conflicts with compiz-core-bzr and compiz-core, since they're different versions of the same packages, that's why they're marked as conflicting. If you want to install both at the same time, you'll need to alter the PKGBUILD to install one into a different directory.

Not sure why the package wasn't building correctly for you. Those arguments are unnecessary for installation to a standard location (COMPIZ_PLUGIN_INSTALL_TYPE also is not required in this case), but either way, everything ends up in the same place with the same runtime path. Anyway, PKGBUILD amended.

These four lines appear to be stopping the package from building properly: -DCOMPIZ_DESTDIR="${pkgdir}" \ -DCOMPIZ_PLUGIN_INSTALL_TYPE="package" \ -DCOMPIZ_BUILD_WITH_RPATH=FALSE \ -DCOMPIZ_PACKAGING_ENABLED=TRUE \ They should be: -DCOMPIZ_PLUGIN_INSTALL_TYPE="compiz" \ -DCOMPIZ_BUILD_WITH_RPATH=FALSE \

GCC workaround removed. Schema files now handled properly. GNOME session files removed as there are a number of packages on the AUR which provide a variety of gnome-session configurations involving Compiz. TODO: split the decorators into seperate packages.

I actually disabled the error by adding an argument ("-fpermissive" IIRC) to CXX, and it still built fine, and I use wall all day long without issues :)
