To correctly install, needed to change package version to po-debconf-1.0.20_all.deb and SHA256 checksum, since po-debconf-1.0.19_all.deb is no longer available. Please, update and keep the good job. ;-)

Currently doesn't build without manually adding /usr/bin/vendor_perl/ to $PATH; it fails with a 'po4a: command not found'.

This needs in build() (after make):
sed -i -e 's|, "--install-layout=deb"||' Debian/Debhelper/Buildsystem/python_distutils.pm
Debian patched python distutils for "install-layout=deb".
However, Arch doesn't include this patch so, we skip that parameter.
The patch (for python2) is at http://patch-tracker.debian.org/patch/series/view/python2.7/2.7.3-6/distutils-install-layout.diff
(I am using debhelper in from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bzr-builddeb/)

I no longer use this package, but prefer to use
distroboxto work withdebpackages. I am seeking a comaintainer for this and potentially some other Debian-related packages. Main qualification is to be an active user of the packages.As far as I know, they're all in good, working condition, so there may not be much to do except bump versions.
