I adopted the package, rewrote the PKGBUILD to use less sed magic and adopted instead a patch-based modification technique (although having one huge patch file for environment modification doesn't strike me as particularly elegant either). Fishburn is absolutely right, it is an awful package to maintain. Anyway, it builds, tests run successfully and it seems to work.

I'm abandoning this until they adopt a typical build system (e.g., automake, cmake). Best of luck

Hi, I tried installing this on my Antergos system. It was not able to install the vtk6 dependency. So, I got the latest vtk package (v8.1.1 community package) installed and linked that in the FSL pkgbuild file. It began installation but aborted from an error in making mist-clean. As per build.log: !!ERROR in BUILD!! Could not make the following projects successfully: mist-clean
Please help resolve this. Thanks!

Just a heads-up that I changed the vtk6 library suffix, and you might want to update your
externallibs.mk

Updated to 5.0.11. I'm now bundling the scripts that were removed in this version.

Oh, that's strange. I'm on the FSL mailing list and haven't had any trouble subscribing.

@tobac There appear to be some key files missing (imcp, etc). The build succeeds but then the check fails. I tried joining the FSL mailing list to let them know, but haven't had any luck getting on there.

Is there a reason you won't bump to 5.0.11?

Build is working for me with only VTK 6 installed. The headers for VTK 6 are located in /opt/vtk6/include/vtk/. This is the path that I have specified in the externallibs.mk file that I have included in the package. My current thinking is that my .mk files weren't getting copied over for some people, so I have modified the PKGBUILD to hopefully remedy this.
Please let me know if you still get errors and what they are. Thanks.
