Hello,
In order to apply for the Gitlab Open Source program, I changed the namespace of GCstar from Kerenoc (my account) to GCstar (a Gitlab group).
The source should now be git+https://gitlab.com/GCstar/GCstar.git
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please provide a pkgver function, and the name of the package should be gcstar-git. You can upload it under that name and let a TU merge the two packages.

This package will automatically retrieve and build the latest development commit of GCstar from git.
The latest stable release is currently available with the GCstar Aur Package : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gcstar
This package does not need to be updated on every release, so please do not flag out of date unless the build breaks.

@keren_sky thanks for the infos. I've fixed the package, this should build and install correctly now. Appears it was caused by the "man" which doesn't need to be moved anymore. I've also updated the dependencies. However, regarding the "freedb", it seems not to accept the "perl-cddb" option. I'm working on the possibility of adding a new "perl-freedb" package to AUR in order to allow this dependency to be added.

it stops in the package stage with 'mv: cannot stat '/home/makepkg/gcstar-gitlab/pkg/gcstar-gitlab/usr/man': No such file or directory'
I think this needs perl-ogg-vorbis-header? And perl-cddb? Anyroad i get this in the output
Net::FreeDB Missing Ogg::Vorbis::Header::PurePerl Missing

Git pull the Test branch, so I think the use of 1.7.2 as version is acceptable.
Any news, kerenoc on 1.8.0?
Really appreciate the great work

Hello,
I'm the maintainer by default of GCstar.
Actually, the version of the master branch of the Gitlab repo is 1.7.1. The 1.7.2 is currently on the Test branch and should be considered a intermediate version. I plan to move the master directly to 1.8.0 but I'm afraid it may break things.
What is the best way to test it for your distribution?

@ignace72 thanks for the info, version updated with the perl-image-exiftool dependency.
ignace72 commented on 2018-07-18 14:27 (UTC)
Version 1.7.2 now needs the perl-image-exiftool package to retrieve data from a mkv file.

@Ennoia you're right, sorry for the mistake, it is fixed now.
