The depends=() would be unnecessarily long, if I were to include all requested dependencies' dependencies (which are already satisfied). It would be something like:
depends=('alsa-lib' 'atk' 'attr' 'avahi' 'bzip2' 'cairo' 'dbus-glib' 'desktop-file-utils' 'expat' 'flac' 'fontconfig' 'freetype2' 'gconf' 'gdk-pixbuf2' 'glib2' 'graphite' 'gtk2' 'harfbuzz' 'harfbuzz-icu' 'hicolor-icon-theme' 'icu' 'keyutils' 'krb5' 'libcap' 'libcups' 'libdbus' 'libffi' 'libgcrypt15' 'libgl' 'libgpg-error' 'libpng' 'libx11' 'libxau' 'libxcb' 'libxcomposite' 'libxcursor' 'libxdamage' 'libxdmcp' 'libxext' 'libxfixes' 'libxi' 'libxinerama' 'libxrandr' 'libxrender' 'libxss' 'libxtst' 'nspr' 'nss' 'openssl' 'opus' 'pango' 'pcre' 'pixman' 'snappy' 'speech-dispatcher' 'ttf-font' 'xdg-utils' 'zlib')
..as opposed to (which installs all of these):
depends=('alsa-lib' 'desktop-file-utils' 'flac' 'gconf' 'gtk2' 'harfbuzz' 'harfbuzz-icu' 'hicolor-icon-theme' 'icu' 'libgcrypt15' 'libpng' 'libxss' 'libxtst' 'nss' 'opus' 'snappy' 'speech-dispatcher' 'ttf-font' 'xdg-utils')

I have CPU usage issue. Chrome renders way slow and eats up too much CPU.
for test: http://www.douban.com/ (or even http://www.smzdm.com much much slower and CPU intensive)
add it to bookmarks then open multiple tabs of it, check the task manager and I found over 100% usage by the "Browser" process, and all tabs are blank, it takes intolerable long time to load the page and makes my system slow.
(preceding issue also happens in Chromium)
If I use Firefox to load above URL in multiple tabs simultaneously, it loads almost instant up to my network capacity.
If I run google-chrome-stable from command line, I saw no error or warning in prompt.
And I tested the newest version Chrome in an openSUSE 12.3 and it suffers the same problem but with much low CPU usage.
Is it a Chrome bug or Linux issue or arch's problem? Can anyone helps me with it?

Removed "PKGEXT='.pkg.tar'" due to a request of having your own way through makepkg.conf.

When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the "Stable updates" tag in Release blog for this.
You can also run this command to obtain the version string for the latest chrome version:
Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.
