Following the switch from udev to systemd-tools, google-chrome fails to run: error while loading shared libraries: libudev.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I dunno. I suppose, if re-packaging Skype is okay, then there should be no issues in doing so with Google Chrome or even Google Earth: https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/community.git/tree/trunk/PERMISSION?h=packages/skype
But even if they did move this some day, I'm not sure they'd keep both.

When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the "Stable updates" tag in Release blog for this.
You can also run this command to obtain the version string for the latest chrome version:
Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.
