When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the "Stable updates" tag in Release blog for this.

You can also run this command to obtain the version string for the latest chrome version:

$ curl -sSf https://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/main/binary-amd64/Packages | \
     grep -A1 "Package: google-chrome-stable" | \
     awk '/Version/{print $2}' | \
     cut -d '-' -f1

Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.

As pciutils came to [core], now you can remove libpci dependency.

Det commented on 2011-04-07 13:33 (UTC)

@unknown, still, libpci is yet only provided by the [testing] pciutils. E: and what I'm talking about is that the package doesn't say that it provides it.

unknown commented on 2011-04-07 09:47 (UTC)

libxtst is missing from the dependencies. libpci is already provided by pciutils.

Det commented on 2011-04-06 08:28 (UTC)

@serraemeira, not until the new [testing]'s pciutils hits [core]. Until then you can just remove the indication to 'libpci' in the dependencies line. Btw. did anybody notice that the bug report t3ddy made about this was closed for the wrong reason?: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/23437: Closed by Andrea Scarpino (BaSh) Friday, 25 March 2011, 21:05 GMT-4 Reason for closing: Not a bug Additional comments about closing: the libpci package should conflicts with pciutils Because they conflicting with each other is not the issue. The issue is that pciutils doesn't provide libpci that it conflicts with (actually it doesn't even conflict with libpci - libpci conflicts with pciutils).

Please, libpci should be dropped. Thanks!
