When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the "Stable updates" tag in Release blog for this.

You can also run this command to obtain the version string for the latest chrome version:

$ curl -sSf https://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/main/binary-amd64/Packages | \
     grep -A1 "Package: google-chrome-stable" | \
     awk '/Version/{print $2}' | \
     cut -d '-' -f1

Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.

@keysona ok, I have solved my problem. "A changes in your account that requires you sign in again." If you use gnome, you can go to Setting and add Google account in Online Account. From this: https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/chrome/7BF8U4o_u_o/v7ik3_9WAAAJ

Hi,guys. I met a problem. Every time I restart my computer, chrome will notify "A changes in your account that requires you sign in again."

"have done changes" :D. I'm sure you are aware of the "View Changes" link on the upper right.

You have done changes but you haven't updated the package version. How yaourt will update a package that has the same version?

That's a fascinating email.

The context menu should also be fixed?

I guess the cookie bug is this: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=631171 (merged in 54.0.2840.50) Also, weird solutions: http://askubuntu.com/questions/822804/after-rebooting-i-need-to-log-in-each-time

@Det: On Gnome 3 the "New Incognito Window" context menu is missing. It can be enabled by appending the following lines to the google-chrome.desktop file: # [Desktop Entry] # ... Actions=new-window;new-private-window; [Desktop Action new-window] Name=New Window StartupWMClass=google-chrome Exec=/usr/bin/google-chrome-stable [Desktop Action new-private-window] Name=New Private Window StartupWMClass=google-chrome Exec=/usr/bin/google-chrome-stable --incognito
