I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

✔ NOTE The "Free" Google Earth has been dropped: https://support.google.com/earth/answer/168344?hl=en

All future updates go to Google Earth Pro (also free): https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/google-earth-pro/

The 64-bit link is dead, so what I did is: 1. Download Det's .deb file (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzcScrfiG5awSEYwRWlSWjk1OTQ/view?usp=sharing) 2. Put it in a folder, start an HTTP server using Python with the folder contains the file (python2 -m SimpleHTTPServer) 3. Edit PKGBUILD, line 30: Replace "https://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/" with "localhost:8000/" 4. Save and continue the installation. P/S: You can specify the port you want to use with that Python HTTP server

I guess you could just use a proxy or a VPN, but attempted to upload on Google Drive as well: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzcScrfiG5awSEYwRWlSWjk1OTQ/view?usp=sharing That's the 64-bit.

None of the four links on https://www.google.com/earth/download/gep/agree.html (32 and 64 bits for Debian and Fedora) work for me (Moscow, Russian Federation)... Could you make some kind of mirror?

Det commented on 2017-03-26 14:15 (UTC)

I can download both archs just fine myself.

Hello! Seems like PKGBUILD contains broken links: [viktor@desolve-nettop ~]$ LANG=C yaourt -S google-earth-pro ... -> Downloading google-earth-pro-stable_7.1.8.3036_amd64.deb... % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0 curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found ==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/google-earth-pro-stable_current_amd64.deb Aborting... ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build google-earth-pro. I can build google-earth package without any issue

For some reason this is working fine on my Intel machine but not my AMD using amdgpu and mesa Google Earth has caught signal 11. Native Google Earth Pro: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/google-earth-pro/ Dunno how long it's been there. No news or nothing. Found it accidentally through: https://dl.google.com/linux/earth/deb/dists/stable/main/binary-amd64/Packages Installs side-by-side with this.
