Why was this downgraded?
version a few weeks ago: 7.1.2.2019-1
version now: 7.1.1.1888-1
By the way, do you happen to have your PKGBUILDs in version control anywhere? Thanks.

I doubt they'll care (even if he actually reaches them).

sl1pkn07, you should report that issue to the Google Earth team; otherwise, it won't get fixed.
Det commented on 2013-10-18 17:35 (UTC)
That's a developer message. You can ignore it.

Sorry for the OT but I can't let this one just pass by:
"And that is simply because Google is the friend of all things and it will follow you to the end."
Beautiful phrase, I take it.

Not really. It actually seems like you're misunderstanding pretty much everything you just brought up.
1) I hadn't seen your comment before I already posted mine and it's not one I want to remove. And that is simply because Google is the friend of all things and it will follow you to the end.
2) You may feel like this is some sort of a debate, but to me this thing is actually something constructive I wanted to keep discussing. It's got some pretty valuable points.
3) It's not offensive being asked newbie questions.
4) Having arguments with people really doesn't necessarily mean you hate your job, the people you work with and yourself. That's number #3.
And that's the _one thing_ I dislike in maintaining my beautiful packages.
E: Also, maybe it's just me but could you please write PKGBUILD in capitals, as it's meant to be? Thank-you.

You mean like my second comment minutes after the first,
"Nevermind, it turned out I was missing a simple package I overlooked. lib32-glu, works now."
You could have just added it to the pkgbuild with a simple reply and moved on rather than entering into a debate about how the audacity of my initial comment offended you.
You're welcome by the way. Looking at your ongoing argument with some of the others you got going on, maybe if you dislike maintaining packages so intensely, you should hand it off to someone else.

I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.
For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to
