And again...
makepkg (at least the one from pacman git master) has problems with the source line, probably caused by underscores. Please add some brackets and change to:
"${pkgname}-stable_${pkgver}_${_arch}.deb"::"http://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/${pkgname}-stable_current_${_arch}.deb"
Thanks!

it's a virtual dependency provided by the lib32 versions of mesa-libgl, nvidia-utils, or catalyst-utils. makepkg -s should have given you those options to satisfy the dep.

Hi,
"lib32-libGL" is still as dependency to "google-earth", but does not exist anymore. I'm not able to install.

Seems like it alredy is: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bumblebee#ERROR:_ld.so:_object_.27libdlfaker.so.27_from_LD_PRELOAD_cannot_be_preloaded:_ignored.
E: Actually it's mentioned overall 3 times in the Wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bumblebee#Installation
You could ask the 'lib32-nvidia-utils-bumblebee' maintainer to include those as optional dependencies, though: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/lib32-nvidia-utils-bumblebee/

Yeah, already included those in the PKGBUILD.

Hi Det,
Yeah sorry for vmware-patch, I don't have vmware anymore because I use now archlinux as a virtualized system, so it is quite hard to test (I don't even use archlinux kernel because of xen pv thing).
About my comment, the thing is that 32bits gl library is required, but I'm not sure 32bits libraries are installed by default on 64 bits systems (at least not for libgl).

Saw it, responded to it, will do so again.
The problem is that it's a _Git_ version. If this was just a bad commit it'd be stupid to actually do something about it. I like it the way it is and unless you can _prove_ through an actual released version that I need to have 'em: I won't.
As a matter of fact, rc1 was just tagged and I see no indication of deprecating variables that aren't separated from the surrounding text with curly brackets: https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/pacman-dev/2013-March/016750.html.
The commit "makepkg: fix incorrect bracket usage" is something totally different: http://gitorious.org/pacman/mainline/commit/2abe1f16461133c0dc386f8ecb8b06865c22940b.

I'm just messing with you :D. Of course it's the better way.
I updated google-earth6 as well.

I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.
For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to
