I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

That's just the "fake" one, pointing to the actual libs owned by glibc. LSB 4.0 was released back in May 2009.

RaphAstronome commented on 2013-05-03 21:50 (UTC)

On the Google's sites it is writed "Linux : Bibliothèques LSB 4.0 (Linux Standard Base)" Now the package ld-lsb seems to be in version 3. If you want I have the google-earth-7.0.3.8542 package (with the PKGBUILD and others) but the URL points only on last version of the software so it doesn't work.

@luuuciano Panaramio not showing is a known issue : http://productforums.google.com/d/topic/earth/4Or9Gleq5BU/discussion

Yeah, that's the one I meant. Visible on the "Sources" section there. And since it has "stable" in its name it's kind of obvious :). A .bin's fine but it's 5.2. Google still hasn't updated it.

luuuciano commented on 2013-05-03 01:31 (UTC)

Hover it where? I mean that http://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/$pkgname-stable_current_$_arch.deb always points to the latest version...: http://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/google-earth-stable_current_i386.deb OH, btw, just found the advanced setup options on http://www.google.com/earth/download/ge/agree.html Will try usgin "Previous version (7.0)" ^- Forget that... it downloads a .bin file...

Det commented on 2013-05-03 01:08 (UTC)

Well, you can just hover your mouse over the Source link.

luuuciano commented on 2013-05-03 00:50 (UTC)

But you were right, google releases the "stable" version, without versioning... I could not find a way to find the 7.0.3.8542 source file...
