I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

Hello, installed v.5.1.3535 proposed by jose1711 with PKGBUILD. I'm experiencing the following: -no panoramio pics; -search gives strange results(all stuck in one place somewhere in the sea). P.S. i'm using r300g driver.

I also suggest to use the previous version (posted by jose1711), that works like a charm, instead of the lastest one. If you modify the md5sum section, it works too with "my" PKGBUILD with the various fixes (all the necessary is in the comment posted by trizen)

Newest Version gives some crazy integrity error in the GoogleEarth.bin itself, download the proviuos version as stated in the comments.

Hello Would it be possible to include the changes from Bersekers PKGBUILD into this one? It is the only thing that works here on an intel system. Thanks for that!

alternate source for 5.1: http://dl.google.com/earth/client/advanced/previous/GoogleEarthLinux.bin

problem also seen on win32. downgrade to 5.1 solved the issue.

google earth stopped showing pictures (e. g. minimap in lower right corner or panoramio pics) on my box. anyone else has the same issue?

lsmod | grep nvidia

if you can find a way to detect if it is a Intel powered system, or a Nvidia one, maybe it is possible to download the modified libgl.so.1 only in the first case

I have some versions working on my nVidia box, and some versions working on my Intel box. If I can reconcile the two and get something that works on both I'll update the PKGBUILD.
