This is a -git package that always uses the latest commit.

  • Do not flag for mere version bumps. The version is updated when the package is rebuilt.
  • People using AUR helpers may have to manually trigger rebuilds.
  • If having problems, try building in a clean chroot.

Comment for packaging issues. Errors during build or installation may be related to packaging. Avoid opening new upstream issues for packaging problems. If in doubt, ask here first.

Flag for common problems with standard solutions, like depends updates. Describe the reason and include relevant error messages in the flag.

After latest update, installing this package and enabling it breaks kwin completely on both X11 and Wayland until I uninstall or disable it. Building from source does not do this, however. Is something wrong with this package?

the fix was merged https://github.com/matinlotfali/KDE-Rounded-Corners/pull/166

@OzzyHelix Looks like developer is working on it, and it should be fixed "soon".

there is a bug on wayland that results in kwin_wayland crashing. that bug is currently being working on in upstream github project idk you might need to update your package to adopt these fixes. https://github.com/matinlotfali/KDE-Rounded-Corners/issues/165

@matinlotfali I went to take a screenshot, and the issue is gone. Maybe some library update resolved it.

@xiota Please open an issue in GitHub and include screenshots. Can you also please change the cmake build so it uses a Release build type and not Debug? I believe somewhere it is getting overwritten to debug.

@matinlotfali Thanks for letting me know about the updates. Since this is a -git package, it automatically downloads the latest commit and updates the version number when built. No other update is needed unless there are dependency changes. People using AUR helpers may have to wait for automatic version checks or manually trigger a rebuild.

I just tested, and it seems to work better than before, but the transparent background renders as white when over tinted regions of the screen (eg, webpage backgrounds). So where the rounded corner effect is applied is visible. Maybe related to GPU textures?

I just updated it with many fixes. Would the AUR automatically install the update or you should modify the version of the package?

The problem was a missing makedepend. It's fixed now.
