If you get undefined symbol or missing shared object error it usually means some dependency package got updated rendering your current build obsolete. You should rebuild the package and it should starts working again. You can make your life easier by installing rebuild-detector alpm-hook, which will try to notify you every time you run system update which AUR packages requires a rebuild.

Forestall questions, I won't bump pkgrel every time package got outdated as it's a pain in the ass and I have ~100 packages to maintain. Already did an automatic update once for gimp-git by setting up Travis CI daily check and update and it works 50% of the timeヽ( `д´*)ノ

Are there any chances to update to version 5.3?

Sign-on will not work unless you install qt5-quickcontrols2 and qt5-graphicaleffects. Could you add them as package dependencies please?

@Ravenghast thanks, I've added the dependency.

On a freshly installed system, I had to install the qt5-declarative package for this to build.

I've updated to 4.9.6.0 and refactored the ffmpeg patch. If something goes wrong, please comment here.

This package fails to build against current FFmpeg (6.0), but the updated ffmpeg.patch from the megasync package fixes this.

Does not compile currently:

mega/src/gfx/freeimage.cpp:215:23: error: ‘CODEC_CAP_TRUNCATED’ was not declared in this scope; did you mean ‘CAP_TRUNCATED’?
  215 | #define CAP_TRUNCATED CODEC_CAP_TRUNCATED

A quick hack with sed -i 's/#define CAP_TRUNCATED CODEC_CAP_TRUNCATED/#define CAP_TRUNCATED 0/' "${srcdir}/MEGAsync/src/MEGAsync/mega/src/gfx/freeimage.cpp" can work around the problem.

Doxygen needs to be added as make dependency:

checking for doxygen... no
configure: WARNING: doxygen not found - will not generate any doxygen documentation

Just in case someone hits on that too. There's some issue happening on the server side that makes you unable or very slow to log in. If you use the debug, you'll notice the "access denied" that will eventually pass after some tries. I had this in 2 out of 4 machines with 2 different connections. Not sure what's happening.
