I will maintain this until it stops working, but this package should be considered "legacy" and the new Reference Manager (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mendeley-reference-manager) preferred.

To avoid crashs when opening PDF's, and hangout on exit install mendeleydesktop-bundled which packages Qt provided by the upstream.

Hi,

I am unable to login to Mendeley-Desktop. When I put my email-address and password I a get the message that one of them is incorrect. I have verified both several times, the login on the Mendeley website works like a charm.

Any suggestions?

Same issues here, gnome 3; had to revert to the older 1.16.3 version

@Rategh, same Problem here. In addition my Cinnamon Session is crashing when starting mendeleydesktop (MD) since the last update. Only after closing MD, Cinnamon becomes responsive again and is restarting. It crashes each time I open MD. Downgrading Cinnamon to 3.6.0.1 helped for now. Hi I'm unable to start mendeleydesktop. The same problem with the core dump and Qt warnings when i uncommente two line about qt in PKGBUILD mendeleydesktop start without crash but i cant login or sync because of internet connection error! any idea?

I was also having trouble opening the PDFs externally, which is due to competing Qt libraries. I managed to open the file externally (with Okular), by opening mendeley with LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" mendeleydesktop In the menu launcher, I change it the command to: sh -c 'LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" /home/angelv/.local/share/mendeleydesktop %f' and all is good now.

It still works here, but since the last update, Cinnamon crashes every time I launch Mendeley Desktop. Anyone know what's going on? Edit: issue not present anymore as of 2017-10-09.
