Hi @Alphabyte thanks for the initiative, I just tested it and it is working. However, installing Glean using pip in the user directory is not ideal (move that line in prepare section). It should be packaged as a separate package. I think that if the next version continues to have issues with the Ubuntu source, it must be fixed. And you are right the licence is MPL2 I didn't realize when they changed it. Regards

Also, in terms of the license would it not be MPL2? Why was this marked as GPL? Am I missing something? github.com

Hi! Thank you so much, @XavierCLL, for maintaining this package for so long. I have gone ahead and switched to pulling the source from GitHub. And since I can't find a better way to get
glean_parser
. I installed it via pip, I understand this is not ideal. For testing, I made sure it builds in a clean Arch VM install. I am quite new to makingPKGBUILD
s so if there are any issues please let me know! Furthermore, the UI still seems to be a bit broken, but I am unsure why. Thanks!Xavier commented on 2023-03-06 18:51 (UTC)
Hi guys, the new version 2.13 does not compile from the ubuntu source in Archlinux, the error is reported here. I think to fix it, is to change the sources to the original tar.gz source from github but it requires more dependencies not existed in AUR yet like glean, then add the extra build instruction and the recommendation from oskirby. I don't have the time right now to test it, so I disown this package for anyone who wants to update, fix and maintain it. Regards

This no longer builds
The older 2.12 version seems to have been removed from launchpad

When my build was failing with the following:
I switched and updated to from rustup 1.25.1-2 community (and some old version of rust) to rust 1:1.65.0-1 extra. That fixed the build for me.

Hi @dmp1ce I am almost sure that happens when you update firefox without rebuilding mozillavpn, try to rebuild mozillavpn after every firefox update

Does anyone else here notice the Firefox containers feature not working? When I try to set as custom location for a Firefox container I get "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." when trying to go to any website.
