@twa022 oh, that was quite stupid of me... nor sure why autoconf was missing in my system. Thank you for the hint, now it works perfectly!

twa022 commented on 2020-07-12 04:38 (UTC) (edited on 2020-07-12 04:39 (UTC) by twa022)

@AG_Caesar: installing AUR packages assumes you have the base-devel group installed. autom4te is owned by the autoconf package which is part of that group.

Please run:

#pacman -S base-devel

and try again.

Can be updated to 4.6.0, no?

commented on 2018-11-23 10:13 (UTC)

I can't install it on manjaro... I get this error:

could not satisfy dependencies: unable to satisfy dependency 'nemo>=4.0' required by nemo-dropbox

rellieberman commented on 2018-06-17 23:50 (UTC) (edited on 2018-06-17 23:52 (UTC) by rellieberman)

Not all icons installed. The icon for "Dropbox" menu entry (when you right click a file in nemo after plugin instlled) did not appear (got the 'no-icon' icon).

Fixed by adding:

cd "${srcdir}/nemo-extensions-${pkgver}/${pkgname}/data/icons/"

make DESTDIR="${pkgdir}" install

to the package() part of PKGBUILD.

For anyone facing the same problem. I had to delete my anaconda3/bin directory from PATH so that the latest libtool version from the arch repository is used.

nullptr_t commented on 2017-08-28 12:25 (UTC)

It compiles fine for me. Try a clean src directory.

beef commented on 2017-08-27 20:40 (UTC)

I cannot compile the package and do not know what to do with the output: libtool: Version mismatch error. This is libtool 2.4.2, but the libtool: definition of this LT_INIT comes from libtool 2.4.6. libtool: You should recreate aclocal.m4 with macros from libtool 2.4.2 libtool: and run autoconf again. make[2]: *** [Makefile:470: libnemo_dropbox_la-nemo-dropbox.lo] Error 63

PKGBUILD and patch to remove the need for any of the python packages and so it doesn't conflict with caja-dropbox or nautilus-dropbox:

nullptr_t commented on 2017-08-18 08:18 (UTC)

Due to known issues with yaourt (e.g. yaourt tries a directory called "$path/0" when invoking libtool), I suggest you to try building with another building tool like makepkg or pacaur. Let me know, if the issue persists then.

koesherbacon commented on 2017-08-17 14:44 (UTC)

I'm having difficulty installing the current 3.4.0-1 version due to the error "Failed to create '.libs'." Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks a lot! Here'sthe output with the error and the additional proof that m4 is installed correctly. (I apologize in advance if I have not properly formatted this cut'n'paste. I'm not sure how to get [ code ] using this comment box.) ===== libtool: error: Failed to create '.libs' make[2]: *** [libnemo_dropbox_la-nemo-dropbox.lo] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp2/yaourt-tmp-ev/aur-nemo-dropbox/src/nemo-extensions-3.4.0/nemo-dropbox/src' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp2/yaourt-tmp-ev/aur-nemo-dropbox/src/nemo-extensions-3.4.0/nemo-dropbox' make: *** [all] Error 2 ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Ah, turns out I was mounted with noexec. Weird that this is the first time I ran into this issue.

nullptr_t commented on 2016-12-14 13:33 (UTC)

This is most likely to be a local permission problem in your home directory. I tried building with pacaur and it worked well.

jakebailey commented on 2016-11-21 04:50 (UTC)

If you're referring to the version issue, then yes, you'll have to either uninstall and reinstall, or force an install ignoring dependencies since pacman doesn't let you update the system at the same time as installing a package from the file. Otherwise, the betsy deb has nothing to do with it, since the new PKGBUILD grabs the release from github instead of using Linux Mint's debs.

rcrath commented on 2016-11-21 04:46 (UTC)

The betsy deb has been updated, but things still do not install. I got it working by uninstalling nemo-dropbox, updating nemo, then reinstalling it.

jakebailey commented on 2016-11-08 19:02 (UTC) (edited on 2016-11-09 20:15 (UTC) by jakebailey)

Unfortunately it looks like they haven't bothered to upload the 3.2.0 deb for nemo-dropbox ( even though 3.2.0 is in their repos. I guess we'll have to wait (or figure out how to build it ourselves). ("haven't bothered" is a little too strong of a statement, it's more like there hasn't been a Linux Mint Debian base update since betsy, where 3.0.0 comes from)

neTpK commented on 2016-11-08 14:57 (UTC)

nemo-dropbox: installing nemo (3.2.0-1) breaks dependency 'nemo<3.1'

Hideaki commented on 2014-05-31 06:42 (UTC)

PKGBUILD is broken. Remove "+${_mintrel}" from line 23 and 38 to make it build correctly.

MagicAndWires commented on 2014-05-29 15:49 (UTC)

you should lose the $_mintrel calls, they're not used for 2.2.1

mlny commented on 2014-05-29 12:50 (UTC)

nemo-dropbox 2.2.1 is the latest version. md5sum: d8542d289a88ac41c646dda29261ac84

clfarron4 commented on 2014-05-11 17:35 (UTC)

nemo-dropbox has a release version 2.2.0-qiana:

commented on 2014-03-11 07:45 (UTC)

I was able to get this working by following the alternative installation instructions at the dropbox website. After setting up dropbox with their instructions, I downloaded the tarball from this page, removed dropbox from the depends section of the PKGBUILD file, ran makepkg and installed with no problems.

selaux commented on 2013-11-27 10:51 (UTC)

2.0.1 is the current version with md5sum fa5dd65cb3df963ba8e5455396618829.
