using it as my daily browser as well since the release of the linux client. BlackIkeEagle's post helped with flash stuff. only thing that needs some fixing is the ugly ubuntu theme now..but so far so good :)

Using suggestion BlackIkeEagle proposed, flash is now working just fine. Browser is stable, pretty fast and already my daily-browser. Only thing i would like is to change this unity them and if there is a way to have back the magic wand button (key icon) next to address bar. Browser remembers passwords but i would prefer to "push" wand button than see my username in the fields and click login as i do now. Thanks a lot for your work.

Wish it supported NPAPI plugins so I could use it as my daily browser. Besides that, it looks decent (minus points for ubuntu theme) and runs rather smoove.

@ruario now we need to get rid of that ugly ubuntu theme ?!

ruario commented on 2014-06-26 11:36 (UTC)

wow, eworm. You are quick!

ruario commented on 2014-06-26 11:36 (UTC)

@patryk: For Flash you need Pepper Flash, see the comments by BlackIkeEagle below. We do not support NPAPI plugins (same as Chrome developer) and hence there is no Java support. @cotko: Try the latest build and see if it works better for you

New build. ;) http://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2014/06/opera-developer-24-tab-preview/

@ruario on one of my machines opera-developer didn't start right away, it was reporting those libssl/crypto errors aswell as something in line of 'could not initialize web interface?' and lots of failed sqlite entries. After about 8 tries, with and without switch you mentioned it started to run. Sorry I cannot provide whole log, but it's acually similar to the one posted by bsdson and just before it started to run the failed sql entries were there too.

How could I install java, flash etc plugins on this release?
