EDIT: Ok, I'm stooopid. The windows version is not .exe, it is in the .zip format, but it's still a bit misleading to download the windows version and then use it to build and install for Arch. For the SQL Developer itself for example, there IS version for "other platforms" also in the .zip format. That makes much more sense. Please update the readme to include information that downloading version for Windows is fine.

Where from can I get the datamodeler zip file? On the official Oracle site there is only .exe verions for windows, the one for apple, and one for Fedora/RedHat Linux .rpm?

Currently the /opt/oracle-datamodeler/ide/bin/launcher.sh sets the LD_LIBRARY_PATH env variable which does not work with the newest JDK11/OpenJDK11 update. (It sets it to /usr/lib)

It should either not set LD_LIBRARY_PATH at all or set it properly. I know that this issue is caused by Oracle, however it would be nice to have a .patch file ;)

Current workaround is to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to "/usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk/lib/server:/usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk/lib" (for OpenJDK11)

After downloading the oracle-datamodeler-21.4.zip, where do I put it? Or what folder do I put it in?

Please, don't flag the package out of date qhen it clearly isn't. You need to manually download the package from Oracle's site as it needs for you to log in in order to get to the download.

I was getting an error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: oracle/ide/osgi/boot/OracleIdeLauncher : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0 when my system was set to openjdk7, changing it to openjdk9 let the program launch successfully

It's important to note you should download zip tagged as "Windows 32-bit/64-bit". Best. M
