Upstream has not seen any updates forever, and now this package does not build against recent versions of gcc. It should not be used. Users are urged to migrate to pcloudcc-lneely.

@MountainX is not systemd part of the system you are trying to build pcloud? If yes, whether having it as makedepend or not does not matter. If not, be aware that base is supposed to be part of the installation; even base-devel should, for purposes of AUR packages. Look here, at Getting started.

@coxackie - the suggested fix was not mine. It came from the BBS discussion I linked. You are welcome to reply there if you think the suggestion was improper. I did not see many other suitable options for that dependency: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&q=libudev

The suggestion was to add systemd as a makedepends, not a package dependency. That seems a lot different to me, but I'm not an expert. I tried that and it solved the issue.

I am building in a clean chroot, which is the right way to test for proper dependencies in a package. If you aren't building in a clean chroot, that's why you aren't seeing the issue.

Most importantly, thanks for working on this package. I hope my testing and feedback is of some small assistance.

@MountainX I will obviously not include systemd as a dependency of any sort, as it is integral in Arch. Provided you are building this package in a bona fide Arch installation, there must be something else that is wrong.

@coxackie Please see: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1933026#p1933026 Both he and I are getting the same error. He says, "The missing libudev.h could be solved by adding systemd as a makedep."

@MountainX please try pcloudcc-git and let me know if it fails - I have now added git to makedepends.

It appears the PKGBUILD is missing dependencies. If you try to build it in a clean chroot, it fails. See forum discussion for more details: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=260049

This git AUR package replaces the previous pcloudcc one.

@Scimmia Thanks for this. I agree that this should be a git package really, I just left it like this because the previous maintainer had a numbering used in a fork of his, but now it is pointing to upstream master. I did not want people not to get updated with this, but I am willing to create a new git package and disown this. A pinned comment pointing to the new package is above. Hopefully, this is a good solution.

You really need to read this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines

There's a lot of issues with this PKGBUILD right now.

@deemon have not come up with this issue - you could open a ticket at the github page of the pcloud console client project (upstream url above), but be aware that the team in mostly unresponsive.
