Found the problem, there was an old binary in /usr/local/bin/plexmediaplayer Maybe my installation is broken, or it is missing from a cleanup script. Either way, Plex works again after deleting it.

After updating to the newest version I get the following error when trying to launch plexmediaplayer:
plexmediaplayer: relocation error: plexmediaplayer: symbol calloc version Qt_5 not defined in file libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5 with link time reference
There seem to be some problem library paths. Is there a work around?

The source currently includes a *.desktop file. Furthermore this package includes a *.desktop file.
Could we remove one of them? So that we do not get duplicate desktop icons.
For example just removing these two lines from the PKGBUILD:

Ahh, that's true, removing cached downloads for web-client-desktop* did help. Thanks @firefox2501.

@hak8or, @ZephireNZ, @joasis I had the same issue and resolved it by removing a cached download of web-client-desktop-3.71.1-757f795.tar.xz and web-client-desktop-3.71.1-757f795.tar.xz.sha1

I am getting the same checksum errors for also web-client-desktop-3.71.1-757f795.tar.xz. Been getting that for the past few days it seems too.

I'd like to agree with this comment by Svenstaro. It doesn't work without me modifying my LD_LIBRARY_PATH as well.
