Better late than never. The $srcdir references are almost certainly harmless. Fortran module files generated by gfortran contain the name of the source file as part of their header information. So any fortran library with module files will always generate this warning.

I'm puzzled, could you give me some more feedback on this? I cannot find any such references I have checked by installing the package, and from the $pkgdir/usr/lib I run: for f in *.so;do echo $f; ldd /usr/lib/$f; done The output is at http://aur.pastebin.com/GDsAmet0 Looks every single one has reference in the correct place in /usr/lib, none to the $srcdir.

The resulting package has references to $srcdir in several shared libs. Also, the "|| return 1" statements can be removed.
