Latest prusa slicer alpha changes needs specifically opencascade 7.6.2 to build which is not available in AUR or repo or archive. might need to compile specific build of opencascade like how we build wxwidgets.

@gyscos This package (slicer-udev) doesn't make any sense. It's the same as prusa-slicer, also in community, and doesn't have a proper name. It should be deleted.

EDIT : oh, i understand. this package only contains udev rules for the prusa-slicer package. I opened https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/77267

Hi,

It seems prusa-slicer-git should conflict with slicer-udev, as both provide /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/90-3dconnexion.rules.

Hey everyone, i'm sorry this took so long, but the package is finally fixed and operationnal !

Basically, I did like the official archlinux package: i statically build wxwidget on the correct version, and statically link prusaslicer instead of using the system one.

Just want to confirm the issues building. Same as @DCengineer and others have said. Same seg fault when I do get it to build.

I got as far as getting wxwidgets 3.1 to compile and cmake using it. my issue is to do so you have to set SLIC3R_STATIC=ON which then requires static glew libraries.

I figured I was going down the wrong path, hopefully someone smarter can figure it out.

I'm sorry, I've not been available those last days. I'm working on it as soon as I can (I'm in a embedded linux formation this week so I don't have a lot of time…)

DCengineer commented on 2022-07-24 23:57 (UTC)

@sippiecup Sorry, I don't. I've just been using the official package. If I have the time I'll give it a shot, but I've been working on a couple of other things.

That works to compile it, but it still segfaults on startup.
