I'm getting this error, when trying to run qdigidoc4:

qdigidoc4: error while loading shared libraries: libldap-2.4.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

If anyone is interested, then there is a script available for automated installation of Estonian ID-card software and related packages - https://viki.pingviin.org/ID-kaart_Manjaro_Linuxis - as this is Estonian ID-card software, then that wiki article is also in Estonian. You can use unofficial translation into English - https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=et&tl=en&hl=en&u=https://viki.pingviin.org/ID-kaart_Manjaro_Linuxis - even script is currently in Estonian, the Google Translate will translate also script comments into English.

Altough initially created for Manjaro Linux, it is suitable also for Arch Linux and other related distros, that are using pacman package manager.

Therefore I guess, there is good to keep Arch Linux philosophy and not enforce people install additional dependencies and for some users probably also unneeded dependencies. Therefore there can be used such scripts to install needed packages and possibly do it in an automated way.

Could you add chrome-token-signing as an optional dependencie. It would make the process of online signing a little easier.

Recently I communicated with RIA helpdesk (help@ria.ee) and there exist an e-mail list about new releases announcements. You can refer to case RK-119391 to request adding your e-mail to the Estonian ID-card software DigiDoc new releases announcements mailing list. According previous statistics, there comes out two new releases per year: in summer (June-July) and in winter (December usually). RIA is still considering the ways they will use in future for such announcements. Until RIA decides final solution, the announcement mailing list can be used.

Main repository https://github.com/open-eid

Upstream URL could be https://github.com/open-eid/DigiDoc4-Client/releases

Certainly also https://installer.id.ee/media/ubuntu/pool/main/q/qdigidoc4/ could be one indicator about the version.

your pc does not have a domain/mailname so the git email validation fails and it couldn't commit the patch. Anyways changed it to not commit it so should work without proper setup.

  git config --global user.email "you@example.com"

to set your account's default identity.
Omit --global to set the identity only in this repository.

fatal: unable to auto-detect email address (got 'deemon@Zen.(none)')

error making: qdigidoc4

what is this nonsense? why does the git make want to steal my username and email address?

Qdigidoc4 must be updated. The current version of DigiDoc4 Client is 4.2.8.89. The version in the AUR cannot be built: "curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 ==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://installer.id.ee/media/ubuntu/pool/main/q/qdigidoc4/qdigidoc4_4.2.7.85.orig.tar.xz"
