@francoism90 hmmm, it is curious. I have tried changing the port, and still get the exact same issue regardless of port, and confirmed with netstat that 8081 was definitely not in use. I can't think of any security related changes, and I have tried multiple full reboots.

I'm sort of stumped as to where that security setting might be coming from...

francoism90 commented on 2019-01-22 10:44 (UTC)

@asynec Do you have something else listen on 8081 or change a security setting? Did you try a (clean) reboot?

This seems to be the root of your problem: error: No socket could be created -- (('192.168.1.85', 8081): [Errno 99] Cannot assign requested address)

After latest update, sabnzbd is now crashing on launch:

shouldn't the command in sabnzbd.desktop be:

sabnzbd

instead of:

sh /opt/sabnzbd/addnzb.sh %u

The later command from thedesktop file doesn't not seem to work, and the application never starts.

sabnzbd.service is failing the validity check.

@Revelation60 any update? :)

Oh yeah, I don't use it headless so I didn't consider that.

francoism90 commented on 2018-03-02 14:57 (UTC) (edited on 2018-03-02 14:57 (UTC) by francoism90)

@terminalmage: See other packages like qbittorrent-nox. I may be mistaken, but a user systemd is only started after login, not useful when using a headless server.

terminalmage commented on 2018-03-02 14:24 (UTC)

Why not just use a user unit?

I have this:

% cat ~/.config/systemd/user/sabnzbd.service [Unit] Description=SABnzbd binary newsreader After=network.target

[Service] ExecStart=/opt/sabnzbd/SABnzbd.py -l0

[Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target
