It doesn't depend on a particular version, it depends on the versions newer that the current one specified in the PKGBUILD (30526 for now, from svn, which is the official).

because every time i update it, i have to remember to edit the PKGBUILD. i use mplayer-git, so it would be rather nice if this pkg didn't depend on a particular version of mplayer.

The graphic corruption is a problem on KDE's Oxygen theme.

Thanks for the update! Like I said, we don't need the first ${pkgdir} in the symbolic link creation. Install the package and please check what your /usr/share/pixmaps/smplayer.png is pointing to...

Hi, please inspect the Makefile and try "make DESTDIR=${pkgdir} PREFIX=/usr KDE_PREFIX=/usr install". It worked with svn 3515. We may not need to set PREFIX and KDE_PREFIX here since they are already defined as such in the Makefile, but just in case. Also, we don't need ${pkgdir} in front of the symbolic link TARGET /usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/apps/smplayer.png, do we?
