Well, pkgconf is part of base-devel group and is expected for any package: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#Getting_started

For pkgver, if you use:

git describe --long --tags | sed 's/\([^-]*-g\)/r\1/;s/-/./g'

The version numbers will be comparable to the other synergy packages.
