@obelix1502 Can you clarify what you want to achieve? is not an executable program, it is a library. Thunar should automatically detect it and embed it into the context menu, as seen in the screenshot at

obelix1502 commented on 2019-07-17 15:55 (UTC)

When I enter the command "/usr/lib/thunarx-3/", I've a segmentation fault (core dumped) fault...

What can I do to resolve it ?

Jar_L commented on 2019-01-09 21:13 (UTC)

Have the same error because of incompatibility with thunarx-3. Tried manual building from Generated file is copied /usr/local/lib/thunarx-3/ by default so I had to copy it to /usr/lib/thunarx-3/ and it works fine now

willking commented on 2019-01-03 21:54 (UTC)

same problem for me.

commented on 2018-11-28 20:27 (UTC)

It is not compiling. The problem is, that is asks for thunarx-2 same for me

sc1t commented on 2018-08-24 19:31 (UTC)

I got such error

Checking for thunarx-2 pkg-config --errors-to-stdout --print-errors --cflags --libs thunarx-2 Package thunarx-2 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `thunarx-2.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'thunarx-2', required by 'virtual:world', not found

gourdcaptain commented on 2018-06-11 19:30 (UTC) (edited on 2018-06-11 19:30 (UTC) by gourdcaptain) - There's a commit here that hasn't been accepted upstream (no replies) to get it working with the new GTK3 Thunar, using this version and compiling it with the existing PKGBUILD works on my machine with some basic testing.

foutrelis commented on 2018-06-07 01:16 (UTC)

Please note that this plugin will need to be updated to use the thunarx-3 library shipped with thunar 1.8.0. The latter will move out of [testing] in a few days.

Thanks to kolorafa for notifying me of this issue. The www subdomain works again now, so there is no need to change the PKGBUILD.

kolorafa commented on 2016-06-17 09:09 (UTC)

If you get "file not found" error Modify PKGBUILD and remove "www." from the domain - works - not

commented on 2014-05-03 10:24 (UTC)

orschiro, it works for me. Try replacing "dropbox" with package "dropbox-experimental"

orschiro commented on 2014-02-26 11:16 (UTC)

For me the `Copy dropbox link to clipboard` function does not work. Anyone else?

Maato commented on 2013-11-26 09:31 (UTC)

Just re-installed it without problems. The md5sum in the PKGBUILD is correct (7a88d3002953890643af86c18c7f2535). Maybe you can try downloading the file manually to see what md5sum you get.

DMolt commented on 2013-11-25 10:06 (UTC)

Hi, I try to install it but give me error that file thunar-dropbox-0.2.0.tar.bz2 didn't pass the md5sums checks. Which is the correct one? Thanks

danbruegge commented on 2013-04-14 19:03 (UTC)

Awesome, works fine. Thanks for this.

Diego commented on 2013-04-09 23:39 (UTC)

Finally works

commented on 2013-04-03 21:23 (UTC)

Works like a charm! Thanks a bunch!

commented on 2013-01-29 01:55 (UTC)

Any reason why this displays when installing the package? Plugin for thunar that adds context-menu items for dropbox. ==> Enter n of packages to be installed (ex: 1 2 3 or 1-3) seems redundant when there's only one option?

wilbowma commented on 2012-02-25 23:49 (UTC)

Shouldn't dropbox be a dependency? I just setup dropbox, and installed this, and it took me a moment to realize dropbox wasn't installed automatically as a dependency.

gh0st commented on 2012-01-06 11:17 (UTC)

Seems to work fine for me dropbox 1.2.49 and thunar 1.2.3

Maato commented on 2012-01-01 15:07 (UTC)

Can anyone elaborate on the way it doesn't work anymore? Its currently working fine for me, with: Dropbox v1.2.49 Thunar 1.2.3 Note that emblems have never been supported by this plugin, because as far as I know Thunar does not allow plugins to set emblems.

toketin commented on 2011-12-23 13:59 (UTC)

Quote it doens't work anymore!

wombalton commented on 2011-11-29 21:01 (UTC)

it's not working for me … no embelms, no Dropbox-Options in the rightclick-menu…

z0id commented on 2011-10-03 07:12 (UTC)

Same here. Also, syncing/synced emblems are not displayed.

orschiro commented on 2011-09-17 10:21 (UTC)

The options "Browse on Dropbox website" and "View previous versions" are supposed to open a new browser window. However, on my system nothing happens although Chromium is set as default browser. Does anyone know what to do? There is no error message when starting thunar in a terminal. Regards

Maato commented on 2010-12-28 15:31 (UTC)

pkg-config is a system for managing library compile/link flags. In this case it looks for the file thunarx-1.pc which is a file containing information about the thunarx-1 package. It is in the main arch repository so you can manually install it using 'pacman -S pkg-config'. But I will update the PKGBUILD file so the next time it will be automatically installed.

hongster commented on 2010-12-28 14:44 (UTC)

Checking for thunarx-1 pkg-config --errors-to-stdout --print-errors --cflags --libs thunarx-1 /bin/sh: pkg-config: command not found not found This is the log in /thunar-dropbox/src/thunar-dropbox-0.1.2/build/config.log What is pkg-config? It is not installed on my machine.

haagch commented on 2010-11-04 01:32 (UTC)

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but does it actually work for anyone? The Dropbox Icons ("View Previous versions" etc.) appear in the context menu but as soon as I click one of them something seems to crash, nothing happens. The Icons then are not anymore in the context menu...

Maato commented on 2010-11-03 18:32 (UTC)

It was a problem with waf and python3, should work now.

commented on 2010-10-30 13:16 (UTC)

I have the same error on x86
