I have adopted the package and brought it inline with the current official repository state. I'm considering switching over to the keyboard mappings from GalliumOS, but would like your opinions on the matter first. Gallium's keybindings are detailed here: https://wiki.galliumos.org/Media_keys_and_default_keybindings, and the patch is available here: https://github.com/GalliumOS/xkeyboard-config/blob/master/debian/patches/chromebook.patch

@joelishness As explained in the README.md, with AltGr (though it won't work with some X applications like Chromium, Firefox and Libre Office). As the English(US) layout doesn't include AltGR I added the English(US, Chromebook) layout which map Alt_R to AltGR. I highly recommend that you look in the README.md https://github.com/dhead666/archlinux-pkgbuilds/tree/master/xkeyboard-config-chromebook

How do I send regular function keys? For example, to use alsamixer.

If anyone wish to try, I have a solution for a global mapping of alt+shift+arrows that also works in chromium, firefox and libreoffice. read the comments about this solution at the top of the readme. https://github.com/dhead666/archlinux-pkgbuilds/tree/chromebook_redirect_key/xkeyboard-config-chromebook

@tetragir I splited the patch for xkeyboard-config to separate the different patches, you can now just comment out (edit PKGBUILD) the changes you don't like (like mapping F3 to XF86Reload), see xbindkeys_sample for remapping F3 to Ctrl+R.

@tetragir At first glance without testing another keyboard it seems that Firefox doesn't respect the keysym XF86Refresh. Two possible solutions: * Press Ctrl+R. * Keep the keysym as F3 and use xbindkeys to map it to Ctrl+R (as the example on the wiki). I'll add an option to revert to F3 this week in an update to the package by uncommenting a line in the PKGBUILD.

Works on Acer C720 Chromebook, athough the app switcher key is acting like a screenshot hotkey. The reload button doesn't works in Firefox.
