@ssfdust Can the source for this package be changed to https://github.com/PaulHaeger/YCM-Generator which has python3 support? This package can then drop the python2 requirement.

Creates a broken symlink when installing: $> file /usr/bin/ycm_generator /usr/bin/ycm_generator: broken symbolic link to /tmp/yaourt-tmp-vinz/aur-ycm-generator-git/pkg/ycm-generator-git/usr/share/YCM-Generator/config_gen.py

If you want to stick to develop, you should use git+https://github.com/rdnetto/YCM-Generator#branch=develop. You should add `conflicts('ycm-generator')` and `provides('ycm-generator')`, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines#Guidelines

Yamakaky commented on 2015-11-14 09:26 (UTC)

develop is merged into stable, so you can use this branch. Please follow this convention for pkgver (should be r79.fc4839e-1) https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines#Git

And please use git+https://github.., as the git protocol is often blocked.
