I changed the systemd unit type and that was a mistake. I was certain I tested it and it was working, but it must've been an unclean environment.
I made a new release of 11.1.1 now that should fix the issue. @ChristianHein Can you test it and tell me if it's fixed?
ChristianHein commented on 2023-06-23 09:52 (UTC)
After updating to 11.1.1, when I run sudo systemctl start crashplan-pro
the systemd service starts and then immediately stops again. I see no error messages in the output of systemctl status crashplan-pro
.
As a workaround, I'm calling sudo /opt/crashplan/bin/service.sh start
directly.

Latest update needed some changes to the package()
function and the systemd service file. Let me know if there are any issues after the update.

New version is back as v11.0.1. Let's hope this one sticks around.

Same as @mrshady, I've been running it since I pushed the update and I haven't had any issues.
I'm not sure what the proper course of action is here. The PKGBUILD is essentially broken now because it points to a source package that doesn't exist. Is it normal to revert/downgrade the aur package in such cases?
mrshady commented on 2023-03-13 17:53 (UTC)
FWIW I updated to 11.0.0.949 on 03/10/2023 and so far no problems. Also two ubuntu versions (18.04, 20.04) also ok so far.

Updating to v11 is failing due to HTTP 404. The support website currently has a banner which says:
Version 11.0 is temporarily unavailable
We have temporarily pulled the CrashPlan app version 11. For more information, please read the version 11 release notes.
There, it says:
Version 11.0 is temporarily unavailable
Due to reports of customer issues, we have temporarily pulled the CrashPlan app version 11.0 release. Version 10.4.1 is still available for download, and upgrades will resume as soon as we've verified the cause of the issues.

@gadicc, I added some pacman hooks to handle setting/unsetting the immutable flag:
