PSA: I've started hosting this and all its dependencies as prebuilt packages (x86_86 only) in my repository for those that want to install them using pacman without messing around with building from the AUR.

Was on my todo to remove it. Might be something wrong on my side but I still get the same build error as in 14.x when using internal libedit.

Could You please remove dependency for "pjproject" as it is bundled since ver.15. And also remove "termcap" and use "--with-libedit=internal".

I had to install (AUR) "termcap" and comment out the ./configure option "--with-libedit=internal" within PKGBUILD to make it compile.

Thanks, @Drazi! This worked for me.

Asterisk 14.4.0 works. I changed the pkgver to 14.4.0 and pkgrel to 0 in the PKGBUILD, and was able to build and install. Also needed to disable integrity checking, makepkg --skipinteg

Hi, asterisk is not compiling on my machine anymore. It fails with with the following error: > Generating embedded module rules ... > [CC] tcptls.c -> tcptls.o > tcptls.c: In function ‘tcptls_stream_close’: > tcptls.c:405:20: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type ‘SSL {aka struct ssl_st}’ > if (!stream->ssl->server) { Is suppose this is due to the recent change of the openssl-libraries.

Hello. On my machine, the makepg failed to link the Asterisk with complain "undefined reference to `tgoto'". After commenting-out the ./configure option "--with-libedit=internal" within PKGBUILD, the package was succesfully created. Maybe someone can find it useful.

If You are using pjsip stack and have a problem with asterisk which is falling down when somebody want to make a call on unregistered phone, then do a downgrade of pjproject package form 2.5.5 to 2.5.1. I found out that version 2.5.5 has a horrible bug https://trac.pjsip.org/repos/ticket/1946 which will be solved in next release.
