Hello,

I was added as a co-maintainer to maintain this package which I had the willingness to do at the time due to me using the package myself however due to me stepping away from it I don't check for updates etc as frequently as can be noted with the recent increase in time it took for a patch to be submitted.

I am looking for somebody to replace me as co-maintainer due to this, if you are willing to do this please contact me at arch@alias.selfhostable.net. Until one can be found I will continue to maintain this package however it might take longer than usual.

Have a pleasant day, Stetsed

On the latest version of 4.4.0-1, Authenticator crashes when I try to add a new entry.

This is the last output that is obtained when I first launch Authenticator in a terminal emulator:

thread 'main' panicked at /home/uSER/AUR/authenticator/src/build/cargo-home/registry/src/index.crates.io-6f17d22bba15001f/aperture-0.3.2/src/device_provider.rs:91:90:

@yochananmarqos thank you, seems like it was an issue on my laptop setup, I was able to build it on my desktop. Sorry for the delay in the update.

@Stetsed: I just built 4.4.0 just fine in a clean chroot. The BINDGEN_EXTRA_CLANG_ARGS export can be removed.

Hey people, so currently I'm finding that switching to to version 4.4.0 doesn't allow it to compile as it just infinitley gets stuck. I am trying to find a fix, and also just letting it run for a while as it might be a problem in the optimization stage due to the same issues not appearing when compiling debug candidate

Seeing that previous releases were made minutes after the corresponding tags, if the Flathub package has also been updated, I feel like it's safe to assume the tag is all we'll get for this one.

Depending on the development workflow, "tags" is used for stable tarballs instead of the "releases". I see that the flathub package was updated with 4.4.0. Isn't it the case of updating here as well?

Stetsed commented on 2023-10-23 08:25 (UTC)

It was recently marked out of date because release 4.4.0 has been tagged, however there hasn't been an actual release yet. Please check https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Authenticator/-/releases not the tags before marking it as out-of-date.

PKGBUILD was updated to take account of changes from yochananmarqos. Thanks to him for his work on the package!

Improved PKGBUILD with a build fix (paste expires in one year)
