@ant0n et all, lets keep the comments here about packaging issues, general Brave usage issues should go in another forum to not clutter up this comment space. I'm deleting comments that have no relation to packaging. Grey areas like crashes that could be blamed on Arch can stay until proven otherwise, but things like how to configure Brave to handle popups or site X or whatever just don't belong here. Thanks for understanding.

@mischka Sure you can add me on those too.

Oh great apologies, I really wish I saw your offer to be co-maintainer earlier. I'd been on vacation and sort of unplugged for a while, apologies, and I don't use Brave myself any longer so I don't really prioritize updates. Sorry about that.

Thanks for offering, I've added you as a co-maintainer! Would you be willing to do the same for the other two brave packages?

Can we maybe get some co-maintainers on this package? The upstream project moves very fast and releases frequently and it seems there is frequently a week or two lag in this package. With very little changing between most releases, maybe with a few more people with push access we can keep it more up to date.

Edit: 2018-08-13 — I'm willing to help update as a co-maintainer if you add me.

Please do me a favour and do not ever use Brave.

It is a browser specifically designed to allow fingerprinting for advertisers and I am not even kidding. Go compare how much entropy stock Brave provides compared to stock Firefox.

Nothing destructive about it. It's a wiki, after all. Duh. Stop whining about the inevitable and update the build more often.

This build has a backdoor, I believe.

Git gave me some weird errors when I committed this last time, it seems to have gone through alright but if anyone experiences issues please post a comment.

Permissions for this packages are now 700. Which means you cannot run the browser if you're not root. Am I missing something here?

This is not the place to advertise destructive alt-right websites.

Thanks for the tip, Xeno_Idaltu. I'll make sure to install the latest version of this browser now. Great search engine, an unbiased, censorship-free, untrolled equivalent of Wikipedia!
