Default port is http://127.0.0.1:58050/

Flag as out of date when hash check fails, it mean a new version or rebuild is out, as upstream archives are unversioned sadly

About sources, old one can deleted, when a source validity check fail likely has been made a new release

This program is unusual, the actual server isn't in the downloaded files and I needed to update twice from the webUI anyway

I don't know if it is advisable, but I had to skip the validity check, and run

sudo chown bubbleupnp /var/lib/bubbleupnp/ -R

to get it to work

I'm getting this validity check failed error

BubbleUPnPServerLauncher.jar ... FAILED
bubbleupnpserver-LICENCE.txt ... FAILED

==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

Updated again, the sysusers.conf file was missing from the package, thanks for reporting

don_carlos commented on 2020-12-13 10:16 (UTC)

I added the missing user myself in the meantime. Still, the update gives me an error:

/tmp/alpm_xEYvBu/.INSTALL: Zeile 17: Syntaxfehler beim unerwarteten Symbol »}«
/tmp/alpm_xEYvBu/.INSTALL: Zeile 17: `}'
Failed to open 'bubbleupnpserver.conf', ignoring: No such file or directory

I think simply renaming sysusers.conf to bubbleupnpserver.conf will fix this (not sure about the syntax error though).

Hello don_carlos, I have re-added the install file, does it work now?

don_carlos commented on 2020-12-10 11:33 (UTC) (edited on 2020-12-10 11:34 (UTC) by don_carlos)

I think the creation of user & group bubbleupnp is somehow missing:

bubbleupnpserver.service: Failed to determine user credentials: No such process

bubbleupnpserver.service: Failed at step USER spawning /usr/share/bubbleupnpserver/launch.sh: No such process

getting this error when running launch.sh

Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError thrown from the UncaughtExceptionHandler in thread "main"

No exact stacktrace given. This happens whether I run launch.sh as user, as root, or through the systemd service. I tried setting various JDKs as defaults but none work. Went through JDK7, JDK8, JDK11 both OpenJDK and Oracle's. I'm out of ideas now.
