Just to let you know that when you update to 9.8.2 you'll need to add a pyton fix to the PKGBUILD sed -i 's|\spython| python2|g' ${srcdir}/compiz-${pkgver}/compizconfig/ccsm/CMakeLists.txt sed -i 's|\spython| python2|g' ${srcdir}/compiz-${pkgver}/compizconfig/compizconfig-python/CMakeLists.txt A fix has been commited but it's not in the 9.8.2 tarball However It crashes when packaging the schemas (even though I thought '-DCOMPIZ_DISABLE_SCHEMAS_INSTALL=On' is ment to stop them installing automatically? -- Recompiling GSettings schemas in /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas Failed to create file '/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled.WO9GLW': Permission denied I've ran out of time and patience (and skilz!) at the mo but i'll have a look again later. Any ideas?

please replace provides=('compiz-core') by provides=('compiz-core=0.9.7') otherwise the line is ignored

Schema handlig is nice, but when I built with GSETTINGS="off" I had to comment it out. The makepkg scripts check for return value automatically, testing [ $? -eq 0 ] is of absolutelly no use in there. You'll have to do it somehow else.

When 0.9.8 is marked stable for releases, yes. I do however need to update the -bzr packages, which will hopefully be soon if I find time.

anybody figured how to get this running with the newer gconf ? I'm not able to set the metacity theme with gtk-window-decorator in the *dev packages because of this missing piece.
