Reminder for people flagging this package as out-of-date: This is for the Commercial Edition of DBeaver. Its release schedule is slower than the Community Edition.

The Community Edition is in the Arch Community repo: https://archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/dbeaver/

I've adopted this package from jcpst and have updated it to the latest version.

As of v4.0.6, DBeaver Enterprise Edition is no longer free and is only available as a trial. As well it appears a license is required for the trial period.

I've been using datagrip for quite a while now, and haven't used DBeaver in months, so I'm disowning this to let someone else who is more vested maintain it.

cp: cannot stat 'opt/dbeaver-ee/icon.xpm': No such file or directory fixed by installing dbeaver and setting a line 43 in dbeaver-ee's PKGBUILD to: cp /opt/dbeaver/icon.xpm usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/${pkgname}.xpm After that go to /opt/dbeaver-ee: cd /opt/dbeaver-ee mv dbeaver test mv test/* . chmod 775 dbeaver rm -r test Mb you will need some sudo permissions

This is not currently out-of-date, so I am unflagging it. DBeaver 4.0 Community Edition has been released, but this is the package for the Enterprise Edition, which is still at 3.8.5 as of 2017-03-05. Still Waiting for version 4.0 EE to be released.

The application icon is 48x48 pixels which is too big for xfce applications menu. I suggest the following changes to PKGBUILD to generate png icons of various sizes. In particular, 16x16 and 32x32 sizes are nice to have besides 48x48. makedepends=('imagemagick') #mkdir -p usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps #cp opt/${pkgname}/icon.xpm usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/${pkgname}.xpm for size in 16x16 32x32 48x48; do mkdir -p usr/share/icons/hicolor/$size/apps convert -resize $size opt/${pkgname}/icon.xpm usr/share/icons/hicolor/$size/apps/${pkgname}.png done

I tried to updating from dbeaver-ee v3.6.7-1 and I received the following. :: Checking dbeaver-ee integrity... ==> Making package: dbeaver-ee 3.6.7-2 (Mon May 16 06:42:14 CST 2016) ==> Retrieving sources... -> Found dbeaver-ee.desktop -> Found dbeaver-ee.install -> Found dbeaver-ee-3.6.7-linux.gtk.x86_64.tar.gz ==> Validating source files with sha256sums... dbeaver-ee.desktop ... Thanks for letting me know. Yep, looks like I missed updating the sha256sums. Pushed out a new version, should be fine now.
