I confirm it is not working for kernel 5.0.1
@PlusMinus USB, Ethernet & Sound work on Kernel 5.
All video non-functional as EVDI dependancy is broken. Cannot update to evdi-git or evdi-pre-release as it fails to build.
Journal error: modprobe[]: modprobe: FATAL: Module evdi not found in directory /lib/modules/5.0.0-arch1-1-ARCH
Rebooting changes nothing.
hey @noraj
hmm i already had pageflip set to false, but somehow video-output is still not working for me properly. ethernet/audio/usb however is working correctly... it's always the video-output that's causing problems :(
This config doesn't work for me, right now.
Using USB 3.0 DL-6xxx, DL-5xxx, DL-41xx, DL-3xxx Devices and Workaround 2: Temporarily disable PageFlip for modesetting
@darose Actually v4 doesn't work anymore with Linux kernel 4.20.11 for me so I guess I must upgrade to v5.
Does v5 bring any important new functionality?
@micsnare
Well, rhermes says they'll get to updating it sometime this weekend, but in the meantime you can just do this. That did the trick for me.
@cdbfoster
how did you get displaylink 5.1.26-1 installed? I'm still running 4.4.24-1 and I'm also running the linux LTS version. I have the same evdi version though.
I'd appreciate any tips on how to upgrade displaylink manually.
thanks.
