Please do not report installation problems with AUR font packages here! I do not maintain them, if you want it fixed, report it to the respective maintainers.

I created packages (PKGBUILD and files) for the two missing font: Gelasio and WeblySleek UI. Unfortunately I don't have time to neither upload to AUR nor maintain them, so I link the .zip containing the two packages here, in the hope someone will take care of them (adopt and maintain). https://ufile.io/ojps1 NB: link will expires in four weeks

@nTia89 I wasn't the one who initially submitted this package so this wasn't my decision, but I think the idea at the time was to give the user the choice to set up their fontconfig as they see fit, which seems like the Arch thing to do. Now that I think of it however, I think it would be good to echo something in the post_install so you see a line of text in pacman that tells you what to copy where if you want the infinality config. So I'll try that if I have a moment todayish.

Should the package already install the .conf file in the /etc/fonts/conf.d directory, since who installs this package explicitly wants Bohoomil fonts substitution? EDIT: should WeblySleek UI be added as (optional) dependency as Gelasio, since it appears in the .conf file?

I'm aware that Sorkin has set up https://github.com/EbenSorkin/Gelasio but my understanding is we shouldn't expect anything to be uploaded there until sometime in 2018. Why not use the much older (incomplete) version of Gelasio that's up at the googlefont's repo for now? https://github.com/axilleas/googlefonts

@Jristz Sorkin has set up an empty GitHub repository for Gelasio, and if there's ever any activity on it, I'll have a reliable place to pull the font from, create a package, and change the dependency on this metapackage to ttf-gelasio. Fingers crossed. But until then, that ttf-gelasio-ib dependency is there for anyone who still has the old infinality repo package lying around, because hey, that technically satisfies that dependency. Failing that, the TTF files are floating around the internet if you want to just stick them in /usr/share/fonts/TTF/. Not an ideal solution, I know.

Why not change the ttf-gelasio-ib to ttf-gelasio? also why there is not an font-meta-extended version?

I contacted Eben Sorking regarding Gelasio and I got a response, quite quickly in fact! Here’s the reply: “Gelasio was not a complete or finished project; hence my reticence but… sometime in the next month I could probably do a new build with the new TTFA hinting and send you that. Sometime in the next year a full 1.0 version may be made and pushed out to Github for people to make use of.” @cryzed: sorry, I do not have a lot of time for experimenting at the moment, but I’ll be happy to try out once I got the opportunity.

The configuration files seem more canonical (since "prefer" is used instead of "assign") and more complete, since they are exactly the font aliases Infinality's fontconfig was using. Currently I have activated the following configuration files and disabled 30-infinality-aliases.conf: * conf.avail.infinality/free/30-metric-aliases-free.conf * conf.avail.infinality/free/37-repl-global-free.conf * conf.avail.infinality/37-repl-webfonts.conf * conf.avail.infinality/free/60-latin-free.conf * conf.avail.infinality/free/65-non-latin-free.conf * conf.avail.infinality/free/66-aliases-wine-free.conf * conf.avail.infinality/67-override-aliases.conf It should be noted that I have ttf-dejavu installed, which places some symlinks into /etc/fonts/conf.d, everything starting with "57-dejavu-*". It overrides some of the settings made in conf.avail.infinality/free/60-latin-free.conf, seemingly (I think because of the "default" instruction?). To prevent this, I decided to also symlink conf.avail.infinality/free/60-latin-free.conf to /etc/fonts/local.conf. Could you do me a favor and try this on your end as well? If it looks good to you too, it might be preferable to simply install the "conf.avail.infinality" folder into /etc/fonts/ and then adapt the guide to link the configuration files mentioned above.
