Using the AUR package got me epsilom's error.
Just download the bin package from google and use this tip:

Hi! after the upgrade to this version (google-earth 5.2.1.1329-1) in the box disappeared navigation tools - instead see a white square in the lower right corner. We are waiting for fixes. Thank you

DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU USE INTEL INTEGRATED GRAPHICS. IT WILL NOT WORK FOR THIS PARTICULAR VERSION. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

you can download the previous Google Earth binary from this link

I downgraded to 5.1.3535.3218 on i686, strangely enough on x86_64 version 5.2.1.1329 works fine.

when update google-earth 5.2 not start, show:
Fontconfig error: line 1: unknown encoding
Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file
Fatal error in __driConfigOptions line 1, column 0: unknown encoding.
Google Earth has caught signal 6.
