See also jackett-mono for platforms w/o net5 and jackett-bin for pre-compiled binaries.

You might consider the newer prowlarr instead, it is actively developed and has a built in task that updates tracker definitions.

Jackett supports more than 500 indexers and something breaks everyday. You can see the changelog here => https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett/releases It's planned split the updates into core and indexer definitions to avoid downloading the whole binary but they don't have enough developers to accomplish the task.

Anyone have any idea why Jackett updates daily? I can't imagine that much is changing. Just asking because it does get annoying to always see it pop up in the "yay -Syu" :)

I thought the service was started by the package but that's not the case. So sudo systemctl enable --now jackett is required.

@And84, this isn't a great place to get support. But what you're doing just looks... wrong in general. This package comes w/ a .service file, why aren't you using it? And this package is for the net6 native version, not mono... so why are you trying to run it w/ mono?

Hi, thanks for the package; I am a real noob buy I am running an arch server. I was able to instal jackett and to run it from /usr/lib with ./jackett but, when I try to make one unit for systemd, I can not create an adeguate service; it fails with: " jackett.service: Failed at step USER spawning /usr/lib/jackett/jackett: No such process"

My jackett.service is very simple:

[Unit] Description=Jackett Daemon After=network.target

[Service] User=jackett Restart=always RestartSec=5 Type=simple ExecStart=/usr/bin/mono --debug /usr/lib/jackett/jackett TimeoutStopSec=20

[Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target

Do you have any suggestion to start it at boot? Thanks in advance

[EDIT] Solved whit a little script in /usr/bin

!/bin/bash
Start Jackett

cd /usr/lib/jackett ./jackett

You shouldn't need it from aur, looks like it is in community?

community/dotnet-sdk 6.0.0.sdk100-2 [0B 268.36MiB] [Installed]

Thanks, installed dotnet6 from aur and all good now! Just posted in case people encounter this where the system repo still has dotnet5.

fryfrog commented on 2021-11-18 03:39 (UTC)

That was easy, s/net5/net6 and it builds fine. Great success!

Ah, shucks so that is what the 0.20 version brought! I'll see if I can figure it out, also maybe @flipee can give it a look too?
