!!! IMPORTANT NOTICE !!!

I will be deprecating this package upon the release of Linux 6.14rc1, as the only remaining patch for this series of laptops has been merged into Linux and is slated for release in 6.14rc1!

NPU has now been tested & works! https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ASUS_Zenbook_UM5606#NPU

@VanKurt you might also need to do install/enable these services: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ASUS_Zenbook_UM5606#Power_management

P.S. it's normal/expected behavior for linux-firmware-git to include amd-ucode-git :)

A reminder to please take discussions about these patches on other distros to an appropriate channel :)

@miffe Could you please add the new RTW8852BE drivers to the config which where merged in mainline 6.2?

CONFIG_RTW89_8852B=m CONFIG_RTW89_8852BE=m

I think it'd make more sense to grab the smaller main package, then just grab the patches to patch up to the latest version. This would save allot of bandwidth, 5GB is quite a bit vs less then 200mb. And if they already have the main version of the kernel it'll just grab the very tiny patch which in this case is around 7kb

Hey now, hes the only one on the planet who can compile and verify if the unaltered upstream kernel works fine. We need him.

Agreeing with saeziae here, consider sourcing https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/snapshot/linux-$TAG.tar.gz instead of the whole repo to save massively on bandwidth (5gb+ -> ~200mb)

Should we also consider providing KSMBD-MODULE, like the core/linux package: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/commit/95823355377a6a3ae3475e5e2cc4109d7dba98b1
