Please stop flagging this package as out-of-date.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#Flagging_packages_out-of-date

Note: VCS packages are not considered out of date when the pkgver changes, do not flag them as the maintainer will merely unflag the package and ignore you. AUR maintainers should not commit mere pkgver bumps.

@nekobuster - I do not develop this theme - I maintain the pkgbuild - ask this on their github

Also don't add files (like git.sh) to the repository that are unrelated to AUR and the package building process.

WTF are you doing? Stop spamming with useless commits and non-descriptive messages. Commit messages should contain useful information.

A date is not a tag, let alone a version number. I'm not switching my version scheme to that abomination.

The upstream project has tags, e.g. https://github.com/numixproject/numix-icon-theme-circle/releases/tag/18-02-16, so the pkgver() function could switch to using those instead, e.g.:

pkgver() {
  cd numix-circle-icon-theme

  git describe --long --tags | sed 's/\([^-]*-g\)/r\1/;s/-/./g'
}

0.r1.d31d20d-1 -> 18.02.16.r0.gd31d20d-1

@nfnty Thank you for clarifying, I must have missed that. numix-circle-icon-theme-git works perfectly without it.

nfnty commented on 2017-03-15 15:08 (UTC)

@chiun `numix-icon-theme-git` is a different package that needs to be built and installed first: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/numix-icon-theme-git/

chiun commented on 2017-03-15 14:08 (UTC)

I couldn't initially install this because the package has it self added as a dependency. Luckily fixing it was very simple, just remove the "depends=('numix-icon-theme-git')" line from PKGBUILD.
