@Bohdanator you need to install both packages at the same time with 'pacman -U'.

Because you can just ln -s it? And also because of http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=31123, http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=41431, http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=13904

Why doesn't merge http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19224 with this one? This will escape downloading nvidia source twice (and also tarball from AUR).

@Det: good idea, done...thanks :) @cousinm: yop, I can confirm the crash, though it's probably related to lib32-nvidia-utils(-beta), because google-earth is an 32bit app.

@cousinm - Probably best to post to the nvidia forums/bug report with nvidia since this is merely the package that provides the software...

Hi, Since I started using this package instead of the extra one (275), google earth segfaults. I am using an amd64 version of the operating system. Reverting to 275 brings google earth back. I saw no mention of it with a google search, that's why I'm asking here :)

Det commented on 2011-07-27 06:28 (UTC)

Well, what about gzipping? Shouldn't it be done as with every other module in the kernel :p? Actually, [extra]'s nvidia does this too.

Det commented on 2011-07-24 16:33 (UTC)

Nothing really. Just in the spirit of de-redundancy.

Sure I could, but what difference does it make :)
