This package has new dependencies on pantheon-settings-daemon and pantheon-dock, which are not currently provided by any official repository.

One way to build this (in a clean chroot, without an AUR helper) would be to build packages providing them from the AUR first, then build it against them:

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/pantheon-settings-daemon-git.git
$ cd pantheon-settings-daemon
$ makechrootpkg -c -r $CHROOT
# pacman -U --asdeps pantheon-settings-daemon-git-1.0.0.r18.e4b709d-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
$ cd ..
$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/pantheon-dock-instctl-git.git
$ cd pantheon-dock-instctl-git
$ makechrootpkg -c -r $CHROOT
# pacman -U --asdeps pantheon-dock-instctl-git-r2179.4a0b6af-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
$ cd ..
$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/pantheon-session-git
$ cd pantheon-session-git
$ makechrootpkg -c -r $CHROOT -I ../pantheon-settings-daemon-git/pantheon-settings-daemon-git-1.0.0.r18.e4b709d-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst -I ../pantheon-dock-instctl-git/pantheon-dock-instctl-git-r2179.4a0b6af-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
# pacman -U --asdeps pantheon-session-git-r148.48b482e-1-any.pkg.tar.zst

pantheon-unstable with all its git packages is still by definition unstable, you can try launching the components separately in a terminal and see which one gives you trouble.

Also encountered libmutter-2 error, however it passed through it when I tried it again.

It appears installed perfectly, however, when logged-in in lightdm, it gave a error "Something seems wrong" and made me log out.

Any solution?

mutter-2 is mutter 3.28

then looking at the log

```cat meson-log.txt Compiler stderr:
Is this because it's looking for mutter-2, and I have mutter-3? If so, where can I find version 2?
p.s. Sorry about the formatting, admittedly a total noob here.
Dependency wingpanel-git of package pantheon-session-git is not fulfilled
soloturn commented on 2018-07-11 03:23 (UTC)
i m getting:
$ pacaur -S pantheon-session-git
:: Package pantheon-session-git not found in repositories, trying AUR...
:: resolving dependencies...
:: no results found for libgala.so (dependency tree: pantheon-session-git pantheon-applications-menu-git libwingpanel-2.0.so wingpanel-git libgala.so)
$ yay -S pantheon-session-git
...
==> Inner conflicts found:
 -> granite-git: granite
Unresolvable package conflicts, aborting
installing gala-git solves this for me.
Somehow this package skips over the xdg autostart for cebere, which is a symlink in the upstream package: https://github.com/elementary/session-settings/blob/master/autostart/cerbere.desktop
This is probably the reason why we've been having trouble starting cerbere in ArchLinux.
EDIT, then again, I have r107.17e088e-1 (meson branch) installed. I suppose I'll just downgrade for now.
