This seems to be ignoring changes to the icon in the .desktop file and ignoring any icon themes. Anybody had any luck with this?

Is anybody using 5.1 surround in this successfully? I finally got a 5.1 system and I can't figure out surround out of this software - I get no output on any setting. It works fine in the Windows build and also 5.1 output works using other software such as VLC in Arch. I'm using optical out (S/PDIF) if it matters.

I got it to work by editing ~/.conan/settings.yml and adding 7.1 to the gcc version: gcc: version: ["7.1", "4.1", "4.4", "4.5", "4.6", "4.7", "4.8", "4.9", "5.1", "5.2", "5.3", "5.4", "6.1", "6.2", "6.3"] I'm using the clean-chroot-manager to build packages. If anyone else is using that, to get the build working edit /build/.conan/settings.yml inside the chroot as described above. Then copy over your plex-media-player AUR folder with PKGBUILD to /build in the chroot, arch-chroot into the chroot and run sudo -u builduser makepkg in /build/plex-media-player

There is a problem during compiling: ==> Avvio di prepare() in corso... -> Checking for plex conan remote -> Adding https://conan.plex.tv as a conan remote ERROR: Invalid setting '7.1' is not a valid 'settings.compiler.version' value. Possible values are ['4.1', '4.4', '4.5', '4.6', '4.7', '4.8', '4.9', '5.1', '5.2', '5.3', '5.4', '6.1', '6.2', '6.3'] Read "http://docs.conan.io/en/latest/faq/troubleshooting.html#error-invalid-setting" ==> ERRORE: Si è verificato un errore in prepare(). L'operazione sta per essere interrotta... ==> ERRORE: Makepkg non è riuscito a compilare .

@strangebrew In my case my monitor is 1366x768 and --scale-factor=1.065 worked.

strangebrew commented on 2017-05-20 23:42 (UTC)

@ccl2of4 @Aelius try adding --scale-factor=1.5 to your command line to correct for scaling. This works for me with a 1080p TV. A value of 1 used to work until a qtwebengine update.

aelius commented on 2017-05-09 02:46 (UTC)

@ccl2of4 yes, it has been broken for quite some time. I believe some older version of Qt fixes this, but I haven't been able to remember which.

For anyone who doesn't want to wait, here's a patch for 1.3.0: https://gist.github.com/JeffHenson/111dc3e5f7caad6a280da78e005adc7c

Is anyone else having issues with full screen not scaling correctly?

@take nailed it, that worked, wonder what needed overwritting?
