I'm just an end user of the package, however, it seems like Plex should be addressing this sooner rather than later. I'd prefer to stick with the official repo rather than a fork.

Thx @Palshife, I tested your Code and it works, I wait for Asators Feedback and will then update the Package. Thank you very much for your patch

I could probably use a code review here, but I believe I've got it. My testing shows a return of normal function on mpv 0.33, while also still working correctly on 0.32 for those that have downgraded. Feel free to test and incorporate the patch.

2020-11-27 07:54:31 [ WARN ] PlayerComponent.cpp @ 602 - main: The opengl_cb API is not supported anymore.

This is almost certainly the culprit from the mpv 0.33 release notes: "Removed: client API: deactivate the opengl_cb API". This is the API that plex-media-player uses to draw mpv's player. It will need to be converted to use libmpv instead, otherwise plex-media-player will have to be built against 0.32 or lower.

I may take a crack at this on my fork. Will update when I have something.

Confirmed, downgrading MPV a version below works perfectly!

Thanks, @hps.

can confirm downgrading mpv does fix it

hps commented on 2020-11-25 16:04 (UTC)

I think it's mpv 0.33. Downgrading to 0.32 makes it work again sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/mpv-1:0.32.0-6-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

segmentation fault occurs when trying to run the application. i believe danhyal is correct that it's related to the qt5 update.

If anyone is experiencing the client crashing upon clicking the "sign in" button, try using fullscreen mode or maximizing the window.

does not work with the qt5 update today
